Join us on April 23, 2016 for Ocracoke Island's fourth annual 10k/5K and 1 mile family fun run. The 10/5K run will take place in the Village of Ocracoke through historic neighborhoods, by Ocracoke Harbor, and by the 2nd oldest lighthouse in the United States in continuous service. The course is basically flat. All accommodations are within walking or biking distance to the start/finish line. Golf cart rentals are available. There will be limited parking near start/finish line. There will be a one mile family fun run immediately following the 10k/5K awards ceremony. The 2015 race raised over $31,000.00 for our three beneficiaries. The top three male and female runners will receive an award as well as the top three male and female finishers of each age category. Everyone completing the Family Run Run will receive a medal recognizing the event. All 10k/5K runners will receive a t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed after April 7th pre-registration) with local artist design. Beginning 11:30am Gaffer's Sports Pub will host post run party. There will be no charge for 10k/5K runners. Food and beverages will be provided.
Join us on April 24th, 2016 for Ocracoke's First Annual Half Marathon. The course, beginning and ending around Gaffers Sports Pub will run through the Village of Ocracoke, through quaint neighborhoods, then head North to Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The Half Marathon,using the Ocracoke multi-use trail, will continue to the Ocracoke Park Service Campground. The course will circle the campground and head back South using the multi-purpose trail for a Fast 3 mile finish approximately at Gaffers Sports Pub. Gaffers will host the awards ceremony and post run party starting at high noon. Please refer to the above" Half Marathon Info" button for detailed information.

Mode of transportation is best by bike, golf cart or simply walking. Most of Ocracoke Island consists of Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
